 THE INAUGURAL 2017 UNIONTOWN COMIC & COLLECTIBLES SHOW

UNIONTOWN, Pennsylvania – The first ever Uniontown Comic & Collectibles Show will be held December 17, from 10am to 7pm at the Uniontown Mall, brought to you by New Dimension Comics, 3 Rivers Comicon, and Uniontown Mall.

Uniontown Comic & Collectibles Show is bringing in a variety of artists and vendors from all over the Southwestern Pennsylvania area for a family friendly celebration of comics, toys, collectibles, and the best of pop culture.

Special guests include:

Uniontown Based Comic Publisher: Action Lab Entertainment – Comic book publisher

Bryan Seaton – Writer, Miraculous Ladybug

Cheryl Black – 3D Graphic Artist, Miraculous Ladybug

Don Simpson – Creator of Megaton Man and Border Worlds

Now Hiring – FT E-commerce Sales Associate

Title: E-commerce Sales Associate

Full-time: 40 hrs per week flexible work hours

Location: Ellwood City, PA

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding customer service and support via phone, email, e-commerce system or face-to-face

• Create product listings and manage sales in various e-commerce systems

• Utilize computerized order management and shipping system to process and fulfill orders

• Pull, pack, and ship e-commerce orders

• Receive and stock incoming merchandise

• Assist team to keep warehouse organized

• Demonstrate product knowledge related to comics, toys and games

Requirements:

• Ability to work the full-time schedule to which you commit without exception

• Ability to operate computerized shipping, e-commerce, and point of sale systems with an attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication skills with English as primary language

• Excellent math skills

• Ability to lift boxes up to 65 pounds

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Positive attitude!

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of high school diploma, or G.E.D.

• E-commerce experience a plus

• Retail experience a plus

• Love of comics, collectibles, toys or games is a plus

Pay and Benefits:

• Base pay = $8 per hour during training period

• Performance/compensation review after 3 full calendar months of employment

• Associate discounts

• Flexible schedule

Meet Creators Joe Pruett and Paul Jenkins!

JOE PRUETT – Black-Eyed Kids, X-Men, Negative Burn, Domino, Gambit and Bishop, Kilroy

In addition to be being the Publisher / CCO of AfterShock Comics, Joe Pruett is an Eisner Award winning comic book editor, publisher, and writer, having been nominated for numerous Eisner, Harvey, and Eagle awards for his work on Negative Burn at Caliber Comics. He is also known for his writing work at Marvel, where he wrote for X-Men Unlimited, Cable, and Magneto Rex. In addition to his X-Men writing work, Joe has written for virtually every other major comic publisher including Image, Vertigo, and IDW.

PAUL JENKINS – Alters, Replica, Darkness, Wolverine: Origins, Hellblazer, Sidekick, Peter Parker: Spider-man, Spawn, Witchblade, Inhumans

Paul Jenkins has been creating, writing and building franchises for over twenty years in the graphic novel, film and video game industries.  Over the last two decades Paul has been instrumental in the creation and implementation of literally hundreds of world-renowned, recognizable entertainment icons.

From his employment with the creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at the age of 22 to his preeminent status as an IP creator, Paul has provided entertainment to the world through hundreds of print publications, films, video games, film and new media. With six Platinum-selling video games, a Number One MTV Music Video, an Eisner Award, Five Wizard Fan Awards, and multiple Best Selling Graphic Novels, Paul Jenkins is synonymous with success.
