Dave blends a slick photorealistic touch with elements of pop culture and iconic imagery to produce paintings that stand apart from the classic Glamour/Cheesecake style. His work has been featured in countlees magazines here and abroad. A regular on the convention circuit, Dave’s work has been displayed in numerous group gallery exhibitions, along with his participation in many compilation art book projects such as George Lucas’ Star Wars “Vision” project. With 5 published personal art books to his credit, Dave is currently a contributor to Acme Archives Direct creating entertainment art for movie and television properties such as Disney, Lucasfilm ( Star Wars, Indiana Jones ), 20th Century Fox, Universal, Sony, among others.

ERNIE STINER worked as a comic book penciler in the 1990s on such books as Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. #27 thru #31; The Punisher Back to School Special #2; Silver Surfer #85; and the penultimate issue #154 of Marvel’s run of G.I. Joe comics – which was recently reprinted in IDW’s Classic G.I. Joe, Volume #15. These days, Ernie is a freelance cartoonist working through his own EJ Graphix Imprint, which features Stick-E Stickers and the ever popular E-Lectro Magnets as he plots a return to comics in 2015. Nathanael Batchelor works as both a freelance comic and concept artist along with voice acting and many other talents including sculpting and special effects/make-up. Voices he loves to imitate include Kermit the Frog, The Joker (both Hamill and Ledger versions) and Megatron (G1 and Transformers Prime versions). He is currently working on an original comic series named Retr0. Nathanael has also cosplayed and acted as The 11th Doctor for New Dimension Comics for various events. He’s excited to bring new content to the upcoming Comics & Collectibles Shows and thankful for the opportunities that NDC has provided him.

Matt Bolton been drawing for the last 15 years with a focus on pop culture and comic book style art. Having set up at comic cons and comic shops in Pittsburgh, Ohio, and Arizona. He sells prints, posters, and sketch cards of his art as well as takes on commissions. Living in Phoenix Arizona for the last 10 years he has been featured in 5 comic shops and is looking forward to working with shops and local creators on future shows and projects. Matt has been able to work with Brian Miller from HI-FI design and Shelby Robertson who have worked at Marvel, DC, and Image comics on art prints he brings to shows. Jay Fife

Jay Fife is a pin-up and portrait artist from the upper Ohio Valley. His work is mostly full rendered pencil drawings of characters from all aspects of horror, fantasy, sci-fi and comics. Specializing in customized pinups realistically depicting famous characters or compositions of favorite personalities from TV and movies, Jay brings personality to his images.

Jay recently has his art featured in the Harvey Award winning Image comic Mice Templar Destiny and has been the subject of an artist spotlight along with a pin-up featured in Hustler Magazine. Jay’s art was also featured in Echo Immortalus Magazine and has been the cover of two issues of the Horror anthology The Willows. Jay did a cover for Heske Horror’s Cold Blooded Chillers, had art featured in Pin-Up Magazine, The Serial Squad from Bad Place Productions, Eve-Vampire Diva from Arcana Comics and is the cover artist for the upcoming Dare #2 for Pickle Press Comics. Jays pin-ups are well known for featuring some of the most beautiful pin-up models including April Hunter, Jamie Eason and the amazing Acid Pop Tart.

Scott Hedlund is a comic book maker from Pittsburgh, PA. Over the past 15 years, Scott has contributed pencils, inks, colors, covers, and letters to books and webcomics including: Weirdlings, Fairhaven, Chaos Punks, WZWA, World of Orenda, Super Haters, and latest comic project, In No Way Memorable. Gavynne Hehman is a fresh out of high school artist. Being voted the Most Artistic Student out of her entire graduating class, her work is promising! She loves to work with pencil, paints, and pretty much anything she can get her hands on. She does a TON of custom work and can paint or draw anything anyone’s heart desires. She loves drawing anime as much as watching it. In 2010, at 14 years old, she received a full scholarship to attend Slippery Rock University’s Summer Creative and Performing Arts Academy. Her work has been featured in The Pomegranate the Grove City Newspaper. She has done numerous murals, including some at Lincoln High School and also apprenticed at Black Crown, a tattoo parlor in Ellwood City, PA. She is now attending BC3 for a degree in Fine Arts.

Hello art lovers and fans. My name is Brandon “Bardo” Holly. I’m a 39 year old freelance illustrator and cartoonist originally from Baltimore, MD. Now I reside in Pittsburgh, PA with my wife and 4 children. I’m a self taught natural artist (thanks to my dad) with a BA degree from La Roche College in Graphic Design.

I enjoy classic cartoons ranging from old Disney shorts, Looney Tunes to Phineas and Ferb, and TMNT. My favorite artists are J. Scott Campbell, Frank Cho, Pat Lee, and the legend of comic covers… Micheal Turner. Primarily, I draw pin up art using my brand of art called Bardo’s World. Jude Gallagher, 20, is a local, up and coming Pittsburgh artist. Self taught beginning at a very young age has allowed him to master his craft by trial and error. His style consists of a combination of tradition, clean pencil work with a touch of graphic design. Bringing the two worlds together gives Jude’s work a blend of unique techniques. Being an artist on display has always been a dream of his, and now it is finally a reality. With aspirations of becoming an experienced, well-rounded artist, Jude is thrilled to have his work on display for the guests at the Pittsburgh Comic & Collectibles Show to enjoy.

Daniel Leister was born in Germany in 1976. He has been drawing most of his life,
but didn’t get into comics till around his 5th grade year. He moved from California
to Maryland with his family, but didn’t know anyone or have anything to do. His mother
bought him his first comic and that was it for him. After High school he attended the
Ohio State University and received his B.F.A. in 2000.  Daniel spent may years going
to conventions and trying to get a job in comics, but his first break was a talent
contest by Marvel at a convention. He came in second place and was offered work by the
company After Hours Press. His real break into the professional world of comics came
when he was offered the penciling job for the ‘Wonderland’ series for Zenescope Ent.
He spent 3 years working on the trilogy and then moved to Hack/Slash with writer Tim Seeley.
Daniel is now working on various independent projects and illustrations.
He currently resides in Columbus, Ohio with his Wife and Son.

Howard Shapiro lives in Moon Township, PA with his wife and two sons. The Controller for the Pittsburgh-based Visual Effects firm, Animal Inc., he has also written four children’s books and two graphic novels (part of the Forever Friends Trilogy.)

The Stereotypical Freaks was his debut Graphic Novel came out in November 2012 and his most recent GN is The Hockey Saint, which came out in October 2014. Both GN’s have been nominated and won “Best Of” awards and the final part of the trilogy Hockey Karma, will be released in September 2016.

His 2008 book, Hockey Player for Life, has been the #1 downloaded children’s hockey e-book on Amazon’s Kindle chart since its arrival as an e-book in November of 2011. His Hockey Days book was the only book featured in the December 2007 Sporting News Annual Gift Guide as a Best Buy Gift for Children. Though a corporate sponsorship program he set up (and maintains), since the 2010-11 season, both of his children’s hockey books have been given to NHL teams (over 2.500 copies to date) for use in their community and educational initiatives. Since 2006 his annual charity raffle, which he matches dollar for dollar donated, has raised funds for several hockey-related charities including the Mario Lemieux Foundation, Hockey Fights Cancer and the Keith and Lisa Primeau Scholarship Fund.

Jack Vasvary is a freelance artist from Pittsburgh. He studied Visual Arts at Radford University as well as Multimedia Technologies at Pittsburgh Technical Institute. While attending Radford University, he was a staff writer and graphic artist for Whim – Radford University’s online magazine. His one-panel cartoons, inspired by Gary Larson’s The Far Side, often mash up pop culture references that show off his inner geek and unique sense of humor. He has also done color work for the third installment of John Davis and Patrick Ebel’s comic book “Worlds Apart” as well as “The Adventures of Steeldog and Steel Puppy: The Garden Party” and the upcoming issue of “Steel Man”. Jack has also designed artwork for the table-top gaming company Wynner’s Circle Games including upcoming games “Going Nutz” and “Squish.” Finally, he is working on his first graphic novel, Hammurabi, which he hopes to have published soon.
